This is a NEW High Power Rare Earth Magnet. Over 4,000 sold.  It will give you more reliable readings at a greater working distance than the stock magnet.<br>This magnet is much more powerful than your stock magnet. This is held to the pedal arbor by strong magnetic attraction.<br>This will work great at a distance of 1/4 - 1/2" as shown in the pictures on my bike.<br>This magnet will work at distances of 1 inch and will definitely make your readings more reliable.<br>To show the High Strength of this magnet I took a picture of a steel anvil 5 1/2" long, 2" wide and 3" high being held by this little magnet.<br>See if your cadence magnet will hold anything as big as this steel anvil. This magnet has a pull strength of 5 lbs and is plated for corrosion resistance. These magnets are the strongest available<br>and the stronger<br>strength gives more consistent readings. They are easily removed with a small screwdriver, so a hole in the middle is unnecessary and weakens the magnet strength.
