Plastic mounts could be better than the metal mounts in some ways...<br>It is less likely to damage your handlebar compare to the metal mounts.<br>And, during crash, your Garmin is less likely to get damaged if the mount is plastic.<br>Also, it is a little lighter.<br>NOTE:<br>There are LONG VERSION (Road) and SHORT VERSION (MTB) of this mount.<br>Both can position your Garmin in front of your stem.<br>The SHORT VERSION can also let you position your Garmin BEHIND the handlebar.
